Check which browser holds the entry

The fieldbook tools save to localStorage for the current site address and browser. They do not use an account, a cloud copy or a connection to Roblox. Returning in a different browser can therefore show an empty workspace even when the original browser still holds your notes. The site cannot retrieve that other browser’s entries.

Understand what each save does

My notes has an explicit Save notes action. The planner saves the two amounts you enter and calculates the remaining difference. The checklist and catch log retain the rows you add; their removal controls delete those saved rows. None of these actions updates a game quest, a balance or an editorial creature record.

Read the storage status before leaving

The tool status area reports when storage cannot be used or when saved data cannot be read. An editable text area alone does not prove that its contents were saved. Copy important writing elsewhere if the status reports a problem. The fieldbook provides no server recovery service, and this guide does not promise that browser restrictions can be bypassed.

Keep personal observations separate from corrections

A catch-log entry stores the name, optional location context and date you supply. A checklist row stores your own landmark wording and completion mark. These are private notebook entries, not submitted reports. To prepare an editorial correction, identify the page and claim separately and include the supporting evidence and observation date.

What is still unknown

This static site cannot inspect why a particular browser cleared or blocked storage. It also cannot know whether another device holds a copy. Browser settings, private browsing and cleared site data can affect persistence. Keep separate copies of anything you cannot afford to lose. Clearing the local data removes the stored entries without creating a remote archive.

Local storage

  1. Return with the same browser and site address to see saved notes.
  2. When storage is unavailable, copy valuable notes elsewhere before leaving.
  3. Clearing site data erases local entries; there is no cloud copy.

These instructions describe the fieldbook’s local tools, not game mechanics.
