Your first steps in SCROOMS

1. Collect the starter

The documented opening begins with Leo near spawn. Receive the Wooden Lute from him before attempting the first catch. Its equipment record identifies it as free and gives separate numerical bonuses. This starting point is supported by several publishers; it does not require guessing a shop purchase or a later quest reward.

2. Make the requested catch

Getting Started! asks for an initial catch after collecting the instrument. The confirmed catching sequence moves through attracting, tuning and keeping the Scroom in the moving zone. Read the catching guide for those stages, and the controls page for the reported PC and mobile inputs. These are different kinds of evidence: a confirmed stage does not independently confirm every key binding.

3. Return to Leo

The opening task ends by returning to Leo. Its reported reward is 1,350 XP and 125 Chimes, with potentially shared guide reporting. That reward label should stay attached to the amount when comparing it with an instrument price. A quest payout is not a statement about how quickly every player can finish the task.

4. Read the next documented tasks

The Next Step connects Halden, the Weathered Statues and the Ocarina. Tamer in Training separately asks for level 25. The quest directory records these objectives without asserting an undocumented order between every task. Use the Grove overview to see its creatures and equipment alongside the quests actually assigned there.

What is still unknown

This opening guide does not establish a total tutorial duration, a complete progression route or requirements absent from the supplied quest rows. A dated quest journal showing unlock conditions would settle those gaps. The statue landmarks also remain disputed, so the later song-tool task cannot honestly become a verified turn-by-turn route.
